Autoresponders are automated email addresses. You send email to them and they send a pre-composed email message back to you. The material contained in the pre-composed email reply is supplied by the autoresponder owner. Autoresponders are used to distribute all kinds of information such as free articles, sales letters, price lists, product updates, etc. What is the SendFree Autoresponder Ad Exchange? The SendFree Autoresponder Ad Exchange is a network of autoresponders used by SendFree members. Every outgoing SendFree Autoresponder reply places a brief advertisement at the top of the message. Members agree, in order to be part of the ad exchange, to display these outgoing ads along with their autoresponder messages. In exchange members then have their ads listed with other autoresponders in the network. How should I format my ad for advertising in SendFree? Your advertisement for SendFree should be composed of plain text. You can have up to 5 lines of text and each line can be a maximum of 60 characters across. Within your ad be sure to include your contact information. Contact information can include any, some or all of the following: URL address, email address, SendFree autoresponder address, phone number, fax number or postal address. Will my URL or email address be hyperlinked in my ad message? At present, all autoresponders and ad messages are delivered as simple text (ASCII) email. Therefore the recipient's email program determines whether or not your URL and email address will be hyperlinked. To increase the probability that your URL and email address will be hyperlinked by the recipient's email reader we recommend listing your URL with - http:// and your email with - mailto:. For example a URL should look like, http://www.sendfree.com and an email should look like, mailto:info@sendfree.com. Most individuals with email packages that don't automatically create hyperlinks are accustomed to copying and pasting your contact address. What does the term "ads emailed" refer to? The term "ads emailed" refers to the number of email exposures you purchase. A single ad emailed occurs when your ad message is successfully delivered to an email address. With autoresponder advertising your ad is delivered at the top of an autoresponder email reply. With member digest advertising your ad is delivered at the top of a SendFree member's daily digest. Is advertising in the autoresponder ad exchange considered "Spam" or unsolicited email? No, not at all! Advertising in email autoresponders assures you that your promotional material is delivered only to an eager audience. Why? Because by definition an autoresponder only responds when email requests are sent for its information. Thus, everyone who receives an autoresponder message had to specifically opt-in to receive it. Autoresponder advertising is not even remotely related to sending spam or unsolicited bulk email. Can I sponsor SendFree without being a member of the autoresponder ad exchange? In order to protect the integrity of the SendFree Autoresponder Ad Exchange, all submitted advertisements are reviewed for approval prior to being distributed. SendFree reserves the right to refuse any advertisement it deems inappropriate. Advertisements of the following nature are prohibited, as outlined in the SendFree Sponsor Terms of Service.

Can I make changes to my ad campaign once it has started? Yes. You can adjust your ad copy as well as your targeted subject categories from your password protected Sponsor Headquarters. Subject category changes are available only if you initially purchase to target your promotion. During any ad campaign with SendFree you can easily adjust your ad copy. Simply go to your Sponsor Headquarters and make your change. Once we have approved your new ad it will be distributed in place of your previous ad. Typically, ad changes take one business day to be approved. Please keep in mind that your existing ad remains active until your new copy is approved. Therefore, if you have purchased advertising to be distributed all at once (i.e. on a single day) it is unlikely that you'll be able to successfully change your ad. In addition to making ad copy changes, if you select to target your ad campaign you can adjust your target categories. When you make changes to your target categories these will be updated in the SendFree system each morning. Is it possible to pause my ad campaign? No, you will not be able to pause your ad campaign once it has begun. How will I know that my ad is being sent out by SendFree? SendFree Sponsor Headquarters provides up to the minute statistics on the distribution of your ad. You will be able to see how many of your ads have been delivered and how many are still waiting to be emailed. No payment once processed is refundable. SendFree will provide a refund only in the circumstance where SendFree does not send out your advertisement for any reason. SendFree will make its best effort to email out your ad message over the distribution period you specify. However, please realize that due to the nature of an ad exchange, exact distribution is difficult because of the variations and fluctuations of requests for autoresponders.
